The purpose of this website is to provide internet information accessible world-wide about nursing theory, particularly information on "Humanistic Nursing" theory as developed by Josephine G. Paterson and Loretta Zderad.

The objectives in providing this website include:

  • Add to the resources available worldwide on nursing theory and nursing theorists.

  •  To fill a void in nursing information available on the internet. 

  •  To promote international understanding of nursing theory.

Nursing theory is essential to the framework of nursing practice.  Nursing theory information will assist in guiding individual practice and research methods.
